Milling some end caps on a custom fixture that we made 👏🏻

The parts go through in steps so that we can use one fixture to machine all sides of the part.

We can make 12 of these parts at one time in our mill!

We used a 1/2 inch neck endmill to mill out this front facing bracket!

This is the adaptive process of roughing & finishing the part on the 5-axis.

Live tooling on a CNC lathe is used to machine off material on the face and diameter of a spinning object. This tool is "live" which means it can rotate to accomplish more complex capabilities on a CNC turning center.

The benefits of using live tooling include:
✔️Saves you from having to set up on another machine
✔️Allows you to do milling, drilling, and tapping on the lathe

We used live tooling on our CNC lathe to put the cross holes and face holes in all at the same time.

We are using the RoboDrill to rough out the profile on some 316 stainless parts ⚙️⛏

These parts are components for heat exchangers, and we actually make both parts in this one machine!

🔨🏘The Second Generation🏘🔨

Joe and Mary Manda's daughter, Mary Jo, married T.C. Ellard in 1957, and he began working part-time at the shop.

T.C. and Mary Jo had five kids—Richard, Jeff, Andy, Todd, and Angela.

T.C. became a full-time employee at Manda Machine in 1972, and after 14 years of hard work and dedication, T.C. and Mary Jo Ellard purchased Manda Machine from her parents in 1986.
