Our firm functions as an integral part of the design and construction team, working closely with clients to develop priorities, identify potential concerns and implement practical, cost-effective solutions. Rone’s offices are operated in accordance with ASTM E329, ASTM D3740, ASTM D3666 and ASTM C1077. Rone’s offices are accredited by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). This program recognizes the competency of testing laboratories to perform construction materials testing services. Within AASHTO the firm participates in the Cement and Concrete Reference Laboratory (CCRL) and the AASHTO Materials Reference Laboratory (AMRL) sample proficiency programs, as well as the Laboratory Assessment Program (LAP) which utilizes laboratory assessment and proficiency sample services provided by CCRL and AMRL. The assessment includes a review of the laboratory’s quality system for compliance with AASHTO Standard Practice R18, “Standard Practice for Establishing and Implementing a Quality System for Construction Materials Testing Laboratories”. Rone has United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) validation in our Austin facility, and Independent Assurance certified by TxDOT in our Dallas facility. Furthermore, Rone has developed and implemented an internal Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program for the benefit of our clients.
