Me and Lena took a road trip to Michigan to look at purchasing a press brake for the shop. We spent some time on Luna Beach where Pretty Boy Floyd hid from the cops. We had a blast.
We brought a 190 ton 8’ press brake. This will give us a lot more capability from sheet metal to 3/8” hr plate 8’ long. This machine will give Jared years of service.
We are coming up on 2 years of starting SnappFab and we couldn’t be more excited about what we have accomplished and looking forward to what’s to come. Now my old buddy Jason Sillings just needs to bring it home.

We are adjusting to working in the field every day, been a couple weeks in Big Rapids Products and it’s beginning to feel like home. Several random projects to design and build in house with hand tools. No computer design no cnc plasma table’s just a little “improvise, adapte and overcome”. We are enjoying the heck out of this work. A little something different each time they come to get you for the next project. Great training for Jared and I guess me too after being stuck in a shop the last 31 years.
Me and Jared are hyped up right now probably won’t sleep much have a meeting tomorrow In Toyota Motor Manufacturer for a good project. Not through some contractor or subcontractor we will be looking at this product on are own. Wish us luck.

We spent the last week in house at Big Rapids Products building this conveyor hopper chute. It has a rotating tables at the top to put strap on the left or the right at the bottom of chute. It’s made out of 1/4” plate they make everything heavy duty. Got to use are new welding cart things went great. Good people to work for. We also built the rail around p

Some good jobs coming in. We just built a prototype of this stailess steel conveyor all stainless with uhmw chain. Should last a long time. We got several of these to build.

Big news for this small Fab shop. We have got a new customer Big Rapids Products they have had us busy on multiple projects the last two weeks. The outlook looks good for some good work to come from this company we are grateful that they found us. We have also been building us a mobile unit to be able to be on the move. We now can come to you with what ever might be broke. Stick,mig,tig, steel, stainless steel or aluminum. Let us work for you, no job to big to small.

This is a shipping container pallet that we fabricated for 3M for a very expensive part that gets sent out for repaired. The tubing is 19” od mechanical tube with a .75” wall very heavy duty with some machine tool grey powder coat.

Some pretty good gigs for this little 3 man band. We have been in cmwa the last 3 days replacing and relining a hopper with 3/8” ar400 plate. What a job from getting old plate cut out to just getting the new plates back in hopper, lifting 30’ just to drop down in the hopper. This is where 30 years experience in this field comes into play. It couldn’t have went any better, we cut everything to size on the job site Johns learning how to run flame cutter while Jared’s leaning to wash weld off 3/8” plate. Keep us in mind on your next in house projects.

We had a couple of hot jobs come Friday to be done asap. That’s when we are at are best. Jared’s getting it done did a great job on this repair to the boom on this hydro spade. I got to do one of my favorite jobs running the flame cutter yes we have a cnc plasma but some times I like doing it the old way.
