A lot can happen in three decades 👏 Swipe to see an image of a machine from Weimar-Werk Baumaschinen, a German manufacturer with roots in the 19th century.

In 1996, Hydrema acquired the earth-moving division of the business, integrating the machines into the Hydrema range — swapping the original orange for Hydrema yellow and renaming the line Hydrema-Weimar.

Over the following years the design received a facelift, inside and out, along with a new engine.

Then in 2013, Hydrema introduced the MX series — a completely new machine, built from the ground up on a new platform, replacing the old designs.

Today, the MX series spans a full excavator range, from the MX14G to the MX20G, including variants converted for rail.
