For 30 years, Pinnacle's retaining walls have been the foundation of the critical infrastructure that you drive on, over, and around every day.

But some of the most important work happens where you can’t see it.

Our drilling, foundation, and earth retention solutions remove uncertainty below the surface, giving our clients the confidence to build everything above it.

Pinnacle - On top, from the bottom up.

Pinnacle puts the finishing touches on the last of the retaining walls at the Prologis Industrial Warehouse project in Lebanon, TN.

Pinnacle has been working with Jones Bros., the projects site contractor, over the last 10 months constructing five MSE retaining walls that were utilized to create the building pads and the storm water detention ponds.

Pinnacle's design team custom fits the retaining walls to work around the site's rock outcroppings and proposed new storm water utilities. These types of engineering design changes made during active construction minimized delays to the overall construction schedule.

This is another example of how Pinnacle is different than other retaining wall contractors.

Sheila Imbach and her team are proof that a project doesn’t stop just because the temperature drops. This crew has been on-site at our New York project since April, and their momentum hasn't wavered as the seasons shifted.

Even with the snow falling and the ground freezing, they continue to hit every milestone with a smile and a focus on precision. It’s this kind of grit that keeps our projects on schedule and ensures our walls stand the test of time. Proud of Sheila and the entire crew for their dedication to getting the job done right, no matter what Mother Nature throws at them.

Pinnacle continues to play a role in the growth of The Music City.

Pinnacle Design/Build’s Nashville crew is currently working on Phase 1 of The Motley, a new mixed-use residential development in Nashville’s Midtown district, located on the site of a former dairy factory.

As part of Phase 1, Pinnacle is constructing a temporary MSE retaining wall to provide critical access for the construction of the 26-story residential tower. Pinnacle’s value engineering design provided the required structural support for the access ramp fill without applying additional lateral earth loads to the high-rise structure. This cost-savings solution enable the contractor to access the tower construction without the need to construct more expensive reinforced concrete structures.

Once the tower is complete, the wall will be removed to allow Phase 2 work to move forward efficiently and safely.

Since 1997, Pinnacle has been part of Nashville’s construction community, delivering retaining wall solutions for highway, commercial, retail, residential, and industrial developments throughout the region.

The leaves are starting to change, and so is the landscape on our project in New York.

Our team at Pinnacle Design/Build is moving right along constructing a series of MSE retaining walls with welded wire facing and crushed rock backfill. Each wall reflects the precision, planning, and collaboration that define every project we take on.

As the season shifts, we’re reminded that progress happen course by course, whether it’s in nature or construction. Proud of this one and the team that is making it happen.

The Pinnacle Difference, Part 3 of 10!

At Pinnacle Design Build, our success comes from the skill, dedication, and experience of the people on the ground. We’re proud to mark the completion of our work on the Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Project just south of New Orleans in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.

The 8-man crew on this job contributed a combined 127 years of Pinnacle experience, with an average of 16 years of tenure with the company. We brought our “A” game to the bayou.

This project required our field team to construct MSE retaining walls over highly compressible alluvial clays and sands. Normal weight retaining wall backfill was replaced with Aero Aggregates® Ultra-Lightweight Foamed Glass and lightweight expanded shale backfill materials to limit total and differential settlement. Placement and compaction of the lightweight backfill required experience and skills that Pinnacle brought to the table.

The team’s experience allowed them to anticipate challenges and keep the MSE retaining wall construction on track. Clear communication and coordination with other Pinnacle departments were key. This approach helped this phase of the Belle Chasse project to reach completion smoothly and with lasting quality, leading to great reviews from the project's prime contractor. The work completed at Belle Chasse stands as a reflection of this team’s skill and dedication, and it adds to Pinnacle’s portfolio of successful projects.

Live From New York!

This week, members of our team traveled to New York to check in on one of our latest projects, where Pinnacle is responsible for constructing over 150,000 square feet of Welded-Wire Rock Filled MSE retaining walls. Joining the site visit were Brooke Harris, our Safety Manager, Lesley Britton, our Vice President of Engineering, Sheila Imbach, our Project Manager, and Joe Harris, our President and CEO.

In addition to checking in on the progress at the project, the group was also able to take in a world-class event at the U.S. Open. Experiences like this remind us that while our core focus is delivering high-quality work for our clients, the journey often brings unique opportunities to connect, recharge, and celebrate the dedication that drives our company forward.

This trip is a great example of how our projects not only strengthen communities but also create shared experiences that strengthen our team and company.
