Wackel’s Machine Shop is a fast-paced manufacturing business repairing and fabricating metal products. We are looking to fill the position of Project Manager. The prime candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, an ability to negotiate and resolve issues, and builds a commitment to the organization’s team to ensure success. MFG experience a big plus. The candidate must have extensive computer knowledge of Excel and preferably have experience with QuickBooks and T-Sheets. Prior experience in project management is highly preferred.
Duties of the Project Manager include but are not limited to:
1. Managing, organizing, and directing the completion of specific projects for the organization while ensuring these projects are on time, withing budget and scope.
2. Communicate to owner the status of projects in the works.
3. Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record. Delivery to and from vendors and customers is an important part of this job.
4. Must be able to lift items up to 50 lbs.
5. Ensuring collection of details in communicating with customers. Obtaining a necessary description of a job, assessing a purchase order, contacting individuals with additional information and notification of completed projects.
6. Facilitate quality control program.
The Project Manager will organize projects, initiate the proper paperwork necessary to document progress through completion and make final assessment of profitability/loss and create invoices.
