Mutual grooming is how cows show love, reduce tension, and form lifelong friendships. Cows that groom each other are often best friends and are calmer in their environment. Makes me happy when I see mine getting along so well.

We were at attention this morning when a coyote was caught on camera. Not taking any chances so Ebony will be locked in her stall at night until baby is born and a few days old at a minimum. They have the arena to go out in during the day so they can get some exercise at least. Ebony is not happy, but at least this way I have a little bit more peace of mind at night.

Ebony update: she is doing great so far! Last Tuesday we got her into the chute and gave her two much needed shots before the baby is born. I was impressed she fit in there but she did and we got it done! 19 more days to her due date. Continuing prayers for a healthy birth!
