Job description
We are a local family owned machine shop located in Crestwood, IL. We are currently looking for CNC Machinist capable of setting up and using Fanuc Manual Guide I or Fagor 8055 conversational programming at our facility.
1st shift 6AM-8PM
1 opening for CNC Machinist on Milltronics HBM110XT Fanuc 32i control or Kuraki BTD11 wirth Fagor 8055 control.
We need Machinist that can be given prints and material and can make finished parts. Willing to train on control if have experience on different controls with conversational programming. All applicants are required to be able to read blueprints, setup machines, use micrometers, calipers depth, micrometers, vernier calipers, bore gauges, fill out inspection reports.

Position Name: CNC Machinist
Responsibilities:
Set-up, operate & program CNC Horizontal Boring Mill
Set-up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes is a plus
Capable of holding tight tolerances (.002) associated with the machining of precision parts
Responsible for running one or more machines/machining centers
Assist in the development of programming and maintenance procedures and manufacturing practices.
Ability to update CNC programs based on data from quality and other sources
Interface directly with internal customers or departments to deliver an estimate of completion and tooling requirements of individual machined projects.
Proficient in reading and interpreting 3D & 2D engineering models.
Experience machining large parts a plus.
Assist with machine shop set-up and maintenance.
Assist with other metals parts and fixture fabrication work, as needed -- including cutting, jigging, etc.
Support inspection of parts to ensure accuracy, including multiple alloys.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a CNC Horizontal Boring Mill (4/5 axis) is a must to be successful in this role will consider horizontal or vertical mill operators.
Ability to review part prints and assure machining accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications including GD&T notes and specific criteria.
Experience in ISO 9001:2015 setting is a plus.
Additional experience with welding, and grinding is a plus.
Works with CNC programmers and other team members to optimize and standardize CNC programs.
Fagor 8055 CNC Programming/GibbsCAM, Fusion 360 and G-code Programming (helpful, not required).
Experience using SolidWorks a plus.
Ability to trouble shoot CNC programs for issues and errors.
Kuraki Boring Mill with Fagor 8055 control experience, helpful (not required).
Knowledge and understanding of lean manufacturing and its application to the machine shop environment.
Strong experience with using standard inspection tools and methods in the evaluation of machined parts.
Creative problem solver, able to work in multi-disciplinary teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in both R&D and production rate environments.
Familiarity with CNC programs such as GibbsCam, Fanuc and Fagor controls.

Minimum requirement - Certification related to Machining or Machine Tool Technology
Prefereed 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist role is required, 7+ years of experience is preferred
