I’d like to thank Cresco City Council for a very smooth approval to close part of Elm Street and 3rd for the October 24th event!

First annual Fall Celebration at the Station! Come celebrate the continued restoration efforts of the old Texaco station. This is a community event that is open to all businesses in Cresco. There will be vendor spaces available for farmers market, crafters, bakers, and nearly everything you can think of.

There will be a multitude of games for the kids and potentially a petting zoo to be announced soon. I would like for people to weigh in on who you would like to be the first band to play at the station. Please keep the band ideas local. Showcasing local talent is very important.

There will be another posting soon with more details. We are truly excited to start using the Texaco Station for local events.

I hope Labor Day was a wonderful day of rest and appreciation for everyone! Today we had a group from England at Midwest Artisans Group. That’s the farthest group so far as I know that has been at the shop. They were wonderful and British accents are pretty cool. Thank you for stopping in! Also got the 1928 Model AA Ford unloaded from the trailer today. Rob Henry will be coming to the shop soon to put the finishing touches on all the final restoration pieces like putting in the door glass and installing the bonnet. He wouldn’t want me to mention this but it’s important to give credit to doing things for the community. Thank you Rob for all the things you have done.

Exciting things starting October 9th with the 29th annual Northeast Iowa Artists Studio Tour! Midwest Artisans Group is part of that tour with Keith Hunsberger as our artisan! This will bring a lot of people to Cresco. That same day we will be having a wine tasting event with Brickyard Wines! Mark your calendar.
Also wait until you see what we are doing on October 24th. This is pending approval to shut down the street.
