Family owned and operated on the Santa Fe Trail in historical Council Grove, Kansas since 1969. We relocated in February, 1998 to our current location giving us 12,000 square feet of retail space. Our store has a wide variety of departments including paint, plumbing, electrical, hardware, and a drive through lumber yard. We strive to offer exceptional customer service and take the extra steps to h

We provide many additional services to the products we sell, such as screen and storm window repairs, cutting keys, shipping UPS and FedEx packages, as well as KDWP Seasonal Licenses and Permits. Please join us in celebrating the retirement of Arthur Wells!

Arthur has been a valued member of the Adams Lumber & Homestore team since 2014. He began his career here working on our construction crew, where he helped build outbuildings, new homes, and boat docks. He later moved into the store, assisting customers and taking on a wide variety of responsibilities. Arthur handled many of our bulk rock and sand deliveries and tackled nearly all of our window and screen repairs.

We greatly appreciate Arthur’s hard work, dedication, and the many ways he has contributed over the past twelve years.

Throughout the community, Arthur is known for his big heart, one-of-a-kind personality, and unmistakably loud laugh. As he enters retirement, he plans to enjoy the “open road” on his motorcycle and continue living life to the fullest!

Please stop by to wish Arthur well and help us celebrate his next chapter!
