The machine's high-speed cutting capabilities make it suitable for rapid prototyping, short-run manufacturing, and production of intricate designs, even through thicker plate up to 1 inch in thickness!

Our neighbors over in Oakley have a BIG weekend coming up! 🚜

The 52nd Annual Mid-Michigan Old Gas Tractor Show kicks off August 21–23, bringing together generations of old iron, craftsmanship and Michigan tradition.

Before CNC. Before lasers. Before automation. There were people who knew how to build, repair and keep things running with their own two hands... and that's something we can appreciate here at SLH.

Tractor pulls, steam engines, blacksmithing, live bands, food, demonstrations, daily parades and plenty more.

Right here in Corunna, SLH Metals operates two fabrication shops and our corporate office, with one team taking projects from an idea on paper to finished steel.

Laser cutting. Forming. Rolling. Welding. Custom fabrication. Engineering. And a whole lot of problem solving in between.

🎉 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR GM, STEVE TAPHOUSE! 🎉

If you've ever walked into SLH with a doodle, a napkin sketch, or an “Okay, hear me out…” kind of idea — Steve is usually the guy behind the scenes figuring out how to turn it into CAD and make it actually work.

He's quoting the big jobs, solving problems, keeping things moving, and somehow still finds himself out on the shop floor under a welding hood several days a week.

And considering Steve has basically been at SLH since he was a toddler, we're pretty sure he's officially part of the building at this point. 😂

Steve is a huge part of what makes SLH SLH, and we're pretty darn lucky to have him.

Help us wish our GM, CAD wizard, estimator, welder, problem solver, and resident SLH lifer a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🎂
