When we say we are a "solution provider", we mean it!

This customer's Smith & Loveless pump has suffered a seal failure. They had the parts in hand and the willingness to do the work but because of the piping arrangement, they didn't have a way to remove the pump for repairs. That's when we got the call. We sourced a small frame, 1-ton rated rolling gantry and fitted it with two low profile beam trollies and two ratcheting chain hoists. This double hoist assembly paired with the lifting lugs on each side of the motor saved us enough head room to be able to pull the pump and leave the volute in place. We installed the customers new seal and got the pump back into service the same day. When we were done, the rigging was turned over to the customer to be used for future repairs.

Our crew did some heavy lifting today....literally.

W2O was contracted to supply and install the rigging equipment necessary to remove this Vaughan Company drypit submersible pump for repairs. Tipping the scales at nearly 6K lbs and 8 feet tall, we had to separate the motor from the pump to be able to remove it from the building. To do this we used 4 chain falls, 2, 8 inch x 10 foot long I-beams, 2 beam trollies, 2 beam clams, a custom build skid, Hillman rollers, a payloader with a jib and our service truck crane to get pump from this location to the beds of our trucks.

We also replaced their 2 inch backflow preventer and tested the new one while we were there.

It occurred to us that this pump head was red when it came It. A little Saturday paint job to make sure it goes back to its owner looking like it should. Its the attention to details that set us apart.
