Today, Oil City Iron Works, Inc. joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honoring the courage, sacrifice, and compassion shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, friends, and coworkers who never came home. We honor the firefighters, law enforcement officers, emergency medical personnel, and everyday citizens who put the lives of others before their own. We recognize the recovery workers and volunteers who stepped forward when our nation needed them most.

Our hearts remain with the families who lost loved ones, the survivors, and all who continue to carry the lasting impacts of that day.

Twenty five years later, our responsibility to remember has not diminished. Behind every name is a life, a family, and a story that deserves to be remembered.

As an American manufacturer rooted in our community, we honor that memory by embracing the values that brought our country together: helping our neighbors, caring for one another, and recognizing the dedication of those who serve and protect.

Today, we pause in remembrance and gratitude. May we carry that spirit of unity forward not just on this anniversary, but every day.

We remember the fallen. We honor the heroes. We will never forget.

Oil City Iron Works is proud to continue our long-standing support of the Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force and the annual Corsicana Airsho.

We were honored to welcome CAF members Dan Summerall and Haskel Dighton, who presented Oil City Iron Works President Eric Ryan Meyers with a plaque recognizing our sponsorship of last year’s Airsho. They also accepted our contribution in support of the 2026 Corsicana Airsho, continuing a partnership that helps preserve aviation history while bringing an outstanding event to our community.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Corsicana Municipal Airport. The Coyote Squadron has an exceptional Airsho planned, and we look forward to joining thousands of aviation enthusiasts for another memorable day.

We are grateful to the Commemorative Air Force, its dedicated volunteers, and everyone who works year-round to make the Corsicana Airsho one of the premier events in our region.

This Independence Day is especially meaningful as our nation celebrates 250 years of freedom, opportunity, and the American spirit.

For 140 of those years, Oil City Iron Works has proudly been part of that story. Since 1886, we have remained committed to American manufacturing, building quality products right here in the USA while creating jobs, supporting our community, and helping strengthen the industries that keep our nation moving.

As we celebrate our country’s semiquincentennial, we also recognize the generations of hardworking Americans whose dedication, innovation, and sacrifice have made our freedoms and businesses like Oil City Iron Works possible.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the men and women of our Armed Forces, veterans, first responders, and all who continue to serve and protect our great nation.

Oil City Iron Works is proud to announce that our employees and company came together to raise an incredible $34,500 during the 2025–2026 Annual United Way of Navarro County campaign.

This achievement reflects the generosity, compassion, and community spirit of the OCIW family. Through employee giving and company support, we are helping strengthen programs that impact education, financial stability, and health for families across Navarro County. United Way of Navarro County supports local initiatives and partner agencies dedicated to improving lives throughout the community.

At Oil City Iron Works, giving back has always been part of who we are. We are honored to stand alongside organizations and volunteers working to create meaningful change and build a stronger future for our neighbors. United Way recognizes OCIW as one of its valued local corporate partners supporting community impact efforts in Navarro County.

Congratulations to David Derryberry on celebrating 50 years with Oil City Iron Works today! What an incredible milestone and testament to his continued hard work, dedication, and loyalty over the years.

We were honored to celebrate David with a small luncheon today and recognize the many contributions he has made to OCIW throughout the decades. Thank you, David, for 50 outstanding years of service and commitment. Congratulations on this remarkable achievement!

It was an honor to participate in the 2026 Corsicana High School Scholarship Ceremony this evening alongside so many incredible community partners, organizations, memorial scholarship representatives, FFA and 4-H supporters, U.S. Military representatives, and District partners.

This year’s Oil City Iron Works 2026 Manufacturing Technology Scholarship Award was presented to Rayden Hernandez. This $10,000 scholarship was awarded in recognition of Mr. Hernandez’s outstanding achievements, dedication, and promise for future success in the skilled technical trades.

Mr. Hernandez plans to attend TSTC to continue pursuing his passion for learning additional skills and earning certifications in the technical trades.

We congratulate Mr. Hernandez and all of tonight’s scholarship recipients. We wish each of them continued success in their future endeavors.
