Competition Helps Everyone- Talking poorly of others helps no one.
None of us have control over isolated incidents- just habits. I am unaware of the event mentioned nor am I interested in what may or may not happen in any other auction.
What I want to make aware to all who have some understanding is that the word "Auction" is a word of integrity and power. It is the bar for all true values.Many investment sellers now use what is called an L.A.P. (limited auction process) in their contracts to legitimize value- save on excessive legal fees and have a sound basis in dealing with the IRS. The grey area afforded by ignoring the word " reserve" as well as the many unaddressed issues involving"on line" only will, in time, eliminate the Auctioneer, as we perceive him. Becoming a puppet of a corporation or state will not bring clarity and true capitalism to markets. I manage sales... With or without Auctioneers. In true form the auction process is the best form most of the time. I have enough genuine interest to have not only judged the National Auctioneer " call off" but chartered a plane to speak to the National Auctioneers Convention in order to be back for an Auction the same evening.
I have no time for negativity, but am always willing to engage in betterment, positive actual conversations.
