Spirit™ 2 on its Way!

After months of engineering, manufacturing, and testing, CAI is excited to ship out the first of the two Spirit™ 2 power generators to the customer’s site in New Mexico. Kudos, TEAM CAI!

On July 26, 2023, Combustion Associates, Inc. (CAI) hosted a Tech Tour for SoCal businesses and representatives from local government, state, county, and veterans resources. Connecting and collaborating to drive innovation was the focus! The highlight? At CAI, we specialize in offering custom engineering and manufacturing solutions for power generation and process systems, providing a one-stop-shop for our clients. We have an in-house testing facility and a proven track record of successful projects for both US and international clients, including the US Department of Defense.

Our team is small and nimble, allowing us to quickly pivot and respond to our clients' changing needs. We can design systems that meet various international standards, including US, EU, Middle East, Russian, and Canadian standards. Depending on the client's needs, we can provide financing and leasing options and manage projects from front-end engineering all the way to turn-key delivery. We can also provide training to our clients' staff on daily maintenance and upkeep, as well as long-term operations and management contracts.

Our specialization in custom projects ensures that each project we undertake is unique, and we pride ourselves on our ability to deliver innovative and complex solutions tailored to our clients' specific needs. To ensure the quality of our work, we have invested in a full test cell facility at our headquarters. This enables us to test our systems in-house and invite customers to witness the testing process. It also allows us to identify and fix any issues before the systems are shipped.

Did you know that CAI is a one-stop-shop that specializes in gas turbine power generation systems? This equipment is the "Ferrari" of all advanced power plants that are utilized for 24/7 power besides hydro and nuclear power. We are proud to be one of the few companies in the industry that have managed to build strategic relationships with major OEMs, including Caterpillar, GE, Siemens, and Mitsubishi Power. We have obtained a packager license agreement with them, which enables us to purchase engines from them and package them under our brand name, "Spirit." This collaboration is a significant achievement for a company our size.

With our expertise in gas turbine power generation systems, we can provide clean and reliable power to our clients, incorporating cooling and heating systems around the power plant to increase efficiency and meet custom heat and cooling needs. Our engineering team can also review fuel specifications to ensure that the fuel can provide the desired electrical output. If there are contaminants in the fuel, our Process Division can provide fuel clean-up and compression skids, as well as modular refineries.
