HD Custom Forage Harvesting LLC. With an experienced group of independent custom operators we provide year around chopping of all crops. We run both bagging and pile crews.

We are Blessed by the Lord to serve in a way that we enjoy! We can harvest any crop throughout the year including rye, sudex, and high moisture earlage then store it by any method you prefer. We use Claas, Meyer, Kuhn, H&S, Krone, Koomia, Lindquist, Rotopress, and Versa equipment.

HD Custom Forage Harvesting LLC has been providing chopping and storage of all types of crops since 2017. Owned by Jess Hoyt and Dylan Dolch and based out of Corning, Iowa, they cover most of southwest Iowa. HD Custom Forage operates two crews to both bag and pile silage. They harvest rye, triticale, hay, oats, and wheat in the spring. They chop corn, earlage, and sorghum in the fall. They have one full-service bagging crew and one crew that chops and packs. This will probably be the last of the summer pickup work. It is going into Harveststore silos. We are just about finished getting all the "to do" lists crossed off preparing to start on corn. Some may be ready to go in about a week in SW Iowa.

We are once again looking for spring season harvest operators! We had all high school help last spring and that worked great. A good attitude is more important than any experience. We like to train everyone how to do all the positions and swap seats when we can. We run good equipment that generally requires more attention than much strength. Ladies, home schoolers, and those retired, all make great operators. We have also had out of state operators bring campers and stay in them during the season.

We DO NOT use H2A labor at this time.

We generally start towards the end of May and run towards the end of June. We pay by the hour with a substantial bonus that depends on timeliness, attitude, work ethic, and care of the equipment. A drivers license is required. We drive our equipment from job to job and cover much of southwest Iowa. We generally start at 7 am and run until after dark every day unless it rains us out. We have a decent list of part-time operators who can fill in if someone has to be gone for a day.

Our base of operations is west of Corning, IA. Please share this with anyone that may be interested!

We will also need some help in the fall when most school aged will not be available.
