We have seven precious babies to find loving homes for plus the sweet momma needs a forever home too. Papaw and Carolyn Karr started taking care of a starving stray and quickly realized she was pregnant. Their other cat is territorial and picks fights with this new cat who is very mild mannered so they can’t keep her longterm. She is very friendly and has the most gorgeous green eyes. She’s a great housecat. Her babies are all so calm too and will be mild mannered like her I think. They are almost three weeks old now. If anyone is interested in taking one of these babies or momma after they are weaned please let us know. All the calicos are females, the black one is female, and the two orange ones are males.

This photo from 1902 shows French knife grinders. They would work on their stomachs in order to save their backs from being hunched all day.

They were also encouraged to bring their dogs to work to keep them company and also act as mini heaters by having them rest on their owners’ legs.

They were also called ventres jaunes (“yellow bellies” in English) because of the yellow dust that would be released from the grinding wheel.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer for a CNC Lathe. You will produce or repair precision parts. We are looking for a candidate that will work well independently and be able to run their machine from concept/print to final production. Someone who is comfortable with Fanuc controls is ideal. Pay to commiserate skill level.
