It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day on Saturday for this year's Autumn Festival, presented by Diehl Automotive of Robinson and sponsored by SGM Tree, LLC & Schwartzmiller Ground Maintenance, LLC. The festival is held each year at Burkett Sports and Recreation Complex, located at 5515 Moon Run Park Road, McKees Rocks. With almost 140 vendors, this will be our largest event yet, with an exciting mix of returning and new vendors. There will be so much to see and we hope that you will come out and support our local artisans, craftspeople, and business owners.
The festival runs from 12:00pm-9:00pm and is capped off with fireworks. Thanks to a grant from Allegheny County Economic Development and Office of the Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, ride-all-day tickets are FREE this year, with amusements including a variety of inflatables, a rock-climbing wall, V-5 bungee jump, 2 amusement park rated rides, and a trackless train. Enjoy FREE face-painting, balloon twisting, and pumpkin painting with Tender Care Learning Centers. Returning this year is our 9-hole mini golf course, hand-built by our amazing public works staff, who also have 2 new surprise activities this year that we are sure you'll enjoy.
Youth group performances begin at 11:30am. Coastal Country Band comes on at 3:00pm and Steel Horse Riders, a Bon Jovi and Journey tribute band, hit the stage at 6:30pm.
