TECHnista Announces Partnership with Mark-10 Force Measurement to Advance Engineering Education Through Industry-Leading Force and Torque Measurement Technology
TECHnista is proud to announce a new partnership with Mark-10, a leading manufacturer of force and torque measurement equipment. Through this collaboration, Mark-10 will provide industry-standard force and torque measurement equipment to support the MEERA program, helping students develop essential measurement, testing, and problem-solving skills using the same types of equipment trusted by engineers, technicians, and manufacturers around the world.
What is MEERA?
The MEERA program is a competency-based K-12 manufacturing education initiative designed to bridge the skills gap in the manufacturing industry. By combining hands-on learning experiences, industry-aligned curriculum, and comprehensive teacher training, MEERA prepares students for careers in manufacturing, engineering, and skilled trades through early exposure to career pathways and real-world applications.
Mark-10’s Role
As part of this exciting partnership, Mark-10 will provide students in the MEERA program with access to its industry-leading force and torque measurement equipment. Throughout the program, students will use Mark-10 equipment to learn and apply fundamental concepts related to force, torque, tension, compression, and mechanical measurement. Through hands-on activities, students will gain practical experience collecting and interpreting measurement data while developing an understanding of how forces and loads affect components, products, and mechanical systems.
Students will learn the importance of accurate measurement, repeatability, data collection, and testing while developing the technical skills required in today's advanced manufacturing and engineering environments.
By using equipment designed for real-world force and torque testing, students can build confidence in their ability to conduct measurements, analyze results, identify potential problems, and apply engineering concepts to practical challenges. Incorporating Mark-10's technology into the MEERA curriculum helps connect classroom instruction to authentic industry applications and prepares students for future careers involving mechanical systems, manufacturing, engineering, automation, quality assurance, and product testing.
