25 years later, and yet~

We remember where we were.
We remember watching in disbelief.
We remember how, in a matter of minutes, an ordinary Tuesday morning changed our nation forever.

Today we remember the 2,977 lives lost that day and the countless families who carried that loss forward.

We honor the first responders who ran toward danger and
we thank the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, military members, medical professionals, volunteers, dispatchers, neighbors and strangers who simply asked, “How can I help?”

We remember something else, too ~ In the hours and days that followed, Americans showed up for one another. For a moment, the things that divided us seemed far less important than the humanity that connected us.

Twenty-five years later, perhaps “Never Forget” can be more than something we say.

Let it be something we do.

Pause for a moment of silence.
Perform an act of service.
Thank a first responder.
Reach out to someone who may be lonely.
Buy a stranger a cup of coffee.
Hold a door. Offer grace. Choose kindness.

Remember those we lost.
Honor those who ran toward the unimaginable.
Thank those who stayed to help.
Do it for them.

And for today, let’s remember how deeply we once understood that we were all in this together.

Not every manufacturing plant has the same capabilities. Two facilities may look similar from the outside, but the people, equipment, experience, and expertise inside can make all the difference.

Eric Matthews told us, “We value the capabilities of Evans to build our tooling and run our parts.”

From tooling to production, we bring the experience and resources needed to support our customers’ diverse manufacturing needs.

This week, the Georgia Association of Manufacturers (GAM) hosted its annual “Federal Fly-In” in Washington, D.C.

Deanne “Dee” Barnes represented Evans and Georgia’s manufacturing industry, meeting face-to-face with members of our congressional delegation to discuss the issues that matter most to manufacturers across the state.

These conversations are an important opportunity to strengthen relationships, share industry perspectives, and ensure Georgia manufacturers have a voice in the nation’s capital.

Thank you to Kelly Loeffler, Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Jim Kelleher, GAM President & CEO, Brittney Hull, GAM Vice President of Government Affairs, and all the attending members who helped make this event a success!
