Last week, we had the honor of welcoming representatives from the U.S. Small Business Administration to Evans Tool & Die for a tour of our facility and a firsthand look at American manufacturing in action.

For 78 years, Evans Tool & Die has witnessed the evolution of American trades firsthand — generations of craftsmanship, changing technologies, shifting industries, and the resilience required to continue building in an ever-changing world. Through every season, one thing has remained constant: the value of skilled hands, strong work ethic, and people willing to learn, adapt, and create.

What began decades ago as a trade rooted heavily in manual craftsmanship now stands at the intersection of precision manufacturing, innovation, automation, and engineering — yet still depends deeply on the knowledge and dedication of the people behind the machines.

We are proud to continue that legacy as a fourth-generation family-owned manufacturer and grateful for opportunities to share the importance of skilled trades, workforce development, and American manufacturing with future generations.

We are Main Street USA — family-owned, built by hardworking people, sustained by skilled trades, and committed to keeping American manufacturing strong for the next generation.

Administrator Loeffler, Lt. Governor Burt Jones, congressmen and congresswomen, thank you again for taking the time to visit and highlight the role small and family-owned manufacturers continue to play in shaping American industry.

This Administration is rejecting the managed decline that brought small businesses 40-year high inflation, massive regulation, and the threat of higher taxes. Thanks to President Trump, job creators are hiring and growing again. America is a nation of builders again. And Main Street is finally comin...

James Dipszinski is our Employee of the Month for April!

James has a contagiously positive attitude that really rubs off on the whole team. He has a great rapport with everyone, and helps keep things running smoothly on the floor.

He is an important part of the metal fab team, demonstrating great skill in setting up and running jobs on the press brake. Plus, he’s a big help to new employees, taking the time to show them the ropes and answer questions when needed.

James is reliable, easy to work with, and always willing to step in or step up.

Thank you, James! This is well-deserved recognition.

Team Evans placed 2nd in the overall competition at Clays for Commerce last week!

We’d like to thank the Conyers-Rockdale Chamber of Commerce for hosting this clay shooting tournament each year at the South River Gun Club.

And a special thanks to our team—Dee Barnes, Rodney Barnes, Rick Kerbow, Ian Barnes, and David Crowe—who did a fantastic job representing Evans this year!

04.29.26 Devotion and Baptism Service - Part 1

On Wednesday at Evans Tool & Die, we experienced something truly meaningful together. We had the honor of witnessing a baptism service right here at work—a beautiful moment filled with faith, hope, and new beginnings.

It’s moments like these that remind us we’re more than just a workplace—we’re a community that supports and uplifts one another through every season of life. Thank you, Pastor Sheldon Landy, for bringing such a beautiful reminder of what baptism means.

We’re grateful to share in such special milestones and celebrate the journeys that bring us closer together.💧🤍

On the National Day of Prayer, we welcome the community to gather on our front lawn at 12:00 noon to reflect and pray together.

People of all faiths are invited to join us.

The National Day of Prayer was established by Congress in 1952, and our participation as a community prayer station is a longstanding Evans tradition.

We will have local pastors and leadership praying with us, as we seek guidance for the leaders and communities of our nation.

So, if you’re anywhere near Conyers on May 7th, please know that you are welcome.

J.B. “Pop” Langley was a part of the Evans team from the very beginning, and we’re saddened by the loss of this sweet (and incredibly skillful) gentleman.

Back in the late 40’s, J.B. learned directly from our founder, Len Evans. He was one of our original toolmakers! He worked with us from the time he was 14 years old (when that was legal) until he retired at the age of 86.

As a journeyman toolmaker, there was nothing he couldn’t fix. So, you can imagine the place he carved in Evans history over 7 decades!

But J.B. meant more to us than a set of skilled hands. He was one of us. And he had a way of lighting up our day that we will never forget.

May he find peace eternal.
