UIC was proud to participate as a sponsor and exhibitor at this week’s NY SMART I-Corridor Semiconductor Summit in Upstate New York.
Luis Casado, Andrew Bonacci, Andrew Cotraccia, and Tom Viola represented UIC at our exhibitor table, building new buyer and supplier connections while engaging with leaders across industry, academia, and government.
Throughout the event, we attended presentations from university researchers, industry experts, and organizations like GO SEMI and NY CREATES, all focused on advancing the region’s semiconductor ecosystem. Discussions highlighted both the opportunities ahead and key challenges around funding, workforce, and energy needed to support growth.
We were honored to support the event through our sponsorship, helping create a collaborative environment for meaningful conversations and partnerships. One clear takeaway: there are strong resources available to support growth, and while the NY SMART I-Corridor does not yet include Binghamton, the momentum suggests that will evolve over time.
We are excited to continue building connections and exploring opportunities in this rapidly expanding space!
