Mike's Racing Heads

Mike's Racing Heads Cylinder head and intake manifold porting for high performance applications in 1987.

Mike's Racing Heads was first opened in West Chester, Pennsylvania by Mike Androwick Sr. Prior to opening his own business he had worked for some very successful engine builders and cylinder head shops such as; Brandywine cylinder heads, Nickens and Brown, John Lingenfelter and Joe Lepone Jr. Working for these top rate shops, Mike was able to gain years of experience in a rather short period of ti

me. In 1997 Mike purchased a 5 axis CNC machine to handle the work load and reproduce the custom cylinder heads he was hand porting. In 2000 Mike was offered an opportunity to work with legendary Pro Stock engine builder Richard Maskin at Dart Machinery in Troy, Michigan. It was a tough decision to make, but the passion and desire to work with Pro Stock engines was still Mike's primary goal. So in February 2000 Mike and his family moved to Michigan to take on a new challenge and fulfill a lifelong goal. That very same year Dart engines powered Jeg Coughlin to the NHRA Pro Stock Championship. From 2002 - 2005 Mike worked with Larry Morgan's Pro Stock team alongside Bob Glidden, and as a team they made huge strides in the Pro Stock ranks. Working with and learning from the people that Mike has worked with in the past 24 years is something to be grateful for. Mike and his family have since relocated to Concord, North Carolina and have reopened Mike's Racing Heads. Now Mike is able to offer his customers the same race winning technology that the Professionals are using.

We received some requests to make our 10° sprint car head fit a standard small block with a carburetor. Make a billet intake manifold for it too! … well… we might have done what you asked for 🤷🏼‍♂️. More pics and details next week!

In the meantime we hope you all have a safe and wonderful memorial weekend 🍻

I’m disappointed that we have to address this again. There continue to be individuals spreading the false claim that our big block dirt modified heads cost $25,000 or more.
In today’s world, misinformation spreads quickly, but it also gets corrected just as fast. The truth is straightforward: our new G2 cylinder heads do NOT—and never will—cost anywhere near $25,000.

Here are the facts:
• The bare G2 cylinder heads are priced the same as the previous G1 heads.
• Many components from the G1 heads are compatible with the G2.
• Our new intake manifold, which works with both G1 and G2 heads (with minor machining differences), is $800 less than the previous version.
I can only control the pricing on the parts we manufacture in-house(except raw materials), which is why I refer to “bare heads.” Valve and rocker packages are manufactured elsewhere.

Beyond the pricing, the G2 heads and intake deliver more power, more torque, reduced weight, improved cooling, and better drivability. It’s rare to find a new product that outperforms the competition in every measurable way while also costing less—but that was exactly our goal. We believe racers deserve better performance at a fair price.

If those spreading these claims are truly concerned about racer costs, one has to wonder what possible motive could they have? Maybe they are trying to sell their own product? Maybe they offer weight breaks if you run said product? Or maybe certain people receive kickbacks when you run their product? They frame these falsehoods as coming from a place of righteousness — “We care about the racer and how much things cost!” Really? If that were actually true, then instead of taking a kickback, they should pass those savings on to the racer—or better yet, eliminate the kickback altogether. That would actually save racers money. Just a suggestion, since they claim to care so much. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Current retail prices (as of today):
• G2 bare heads: $7,800 per pair
• G2 intake: $3,450

You could buy two sets of heads and two intakes for less than what the liars are claiming. Those are the facts.
Enjoy your day, everyone 😎🇺🇸

We’ve had a busy few weeks here. A pallet of our 10° sprint car heads showed up along with two pallets of the new G2 18° big block heads. We have all 3 CNC machines cranking out parts to get all of these orders filled. And we have our best shop supervisor overseeing the process to ensure everything goes smoothly 😁
