🎱🍖 CESI was proud to support BBQ & Bingo in the Burg! 🎉

We were excited to be a bingo sponsor for this fun community event hosted by the Harrisburg Rotary Club at the new Harrisburg YMCA — a facility where CESI had the opportunity to provide land development services!

Several CESI employees joined in on the fun, enjoying a delicious BBQ dinner, 10 exciting games of bingo, and the chance to win some great prizes. It was a wonderful evening of community, connection, and giving back!

CESI had a blast hanging out at the Cabarrus County Schools Futures Fair last night!

Our team set up shop at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center to meet with awesome 11th and 12th graders (and their families) to talk all things post-secondary opportunities.

We loved chatting with the next generation of builders and thinkers about how CESI shapes the world around us. From mapping out land to designing infrastructure, we got to share what a career looks like in our favorite fields:

• Civil Engineering 📐
• Land Surveying 🗺️
• Geotechnical Engineering 🪨

Huge thanks to Cabarrus County Schools for hosting such a great evening, and to every student who stopped by to talk about their future goals. The future of land development is looking incredibly bright! 🛠️✨

A big shoutout to our very own Vice President and Survey Department Manager, David Haywood, who recently stepped into the classroom at Concord Middle School!

David served as a volunteer mentor for the school's Great Migration Project, an immersive project where eighth-grade students explored the realities of migration, mapped out strategic routes, and made tough geographic decisions along the way.

We love seeing our leadership team out in the community, guiding the next generation of problem solvers and critical thinkers. Great work, David! 👏

On October 9, sixth graders at Concord Middle School Miners put classroom learning to work in the Great Migration Project. Students explored migration, made decisions about migrating and planned routes while volunteer mentors asked questions and shared their experience.

Our Construction Materials Testing Technician Supervisor, Luke Parks, was out at Mountain Island Lake overseeing a crucial concrete pour.

CESI Civil-Geotechnical-Surveying is proud to provide the expert testing and quality assurance needed to build the brand-new multi-use paths and stairs leading down to the beach access area. Whether it’s surveying, engineering, or making sure the concrete sets perfectly to withstand years of community footprints, our team is dedicated to building infrastructure that lasts.

We can’t wait to see the community enjoy this enhanced access to the water! ☀️🏖️

🌅 Bright & Early in the Field! 🏗️

This morning, Luke Parks, CESI’s Construction Materials Testing Supervisor, was up bright and early at Mountain Island Lake for a concrete pour at the New River Bend Boat Access Area.

The project will bring new picnic shelters to the popular recreation area, and CESI is proud to provide construction materials testing services to help ensure the project is built to the required standards.

Today CESI's Civil Engineering Department celebrates the signing of the final beam for Weathers Creek High School in Troutman, marking the completion of the structural steel for the new high school.

With its first students scheduled to walk through the doors in fall 2027, this project is a great reminder that it takes community - and a lot of dedicated people - to build something that will serve generations to come.

What a fitting day to celebrate a project that's helping build the future!

Today, September 25, we’re celebrating Dolly Parton and her incredible legacy of dreaming big, giving back, and making a difference in communities.

At CESI, we believe in something similar: taking a vision and helping turn it into something real. From land development planning and surveying to civil engineering and construction support, we help transform properties into places where people can live, work, grow, and thrive.

It was a busy Friday for some of the CESI team! 💙

On Friday, September 18, Alya Elsarraf, Angelica Deaton, and Liz Warlick had the opportunity to attend the Women in Business Conference, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce. It was a great day of connecting with other local businesswomen, learning from inspiring leaders, and celebrating the contributions women make to our business community.

Later that evening, Angelica Deaton and her husband continued the fun at Food for Foundations, a chef competition benefiting Habitat for Humanity, held at 73 & Main. 🍽️👩‍🍳 It was a fantastic evening supporting a great cause while enjoying some friendly culinary competition!

We’re proud to see our team members representing CESI, building connections, and supporting organizations that make a difference in our community. ❤️

🍽️ CESI is proud to support Habitat for Humanity of Cabarrus County and the Food for Foundations event! 🏠💙

We’re excited to contribute to an event that brings our community together for a great cause. For Food for Foundations, local chefs are given a basket of ingredients and challenged to turn those ingredients into a delicious, creative meal! 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

It’s a fun celebration of local talent, community, and giving back — all while supporting Habitat for Humanity’s mission of helping build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership.
