CESI is pleased to welcome Lilly Whitten as a Civil Engineering Intern. She is currently a student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte (UNCC), pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

Since joining CESI, Lilly has begun supporting project work while gaining exposure to the civil engineering design process and construction phase. She has quickly expressed interest in understanding how engineering plans transition from concept to real-world infrastructure, especially on projects close to home.

Her long-term goal is to become a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), and she views her internship as an important step in building technical experience and professional growth.

It’s not every day you get the opportunity to work on a project involving a rhinoceros barn! 🦏
Our CESI CMT team recently performed a proof roll on existing ground conditions at the renowned Fork Farm & Stables to verify site stability prior to structural fill placement. Located in Norwood, North Carolina, Fork Farm is a premier private sporting and equestrian estate situated near the confluence of the Rocky and P*e Dee Rivers — the inspiration behind the name “The Fork.”
Known throughout the Southeast for its world-class equestrian facilities, sporting clays, hunting programs, and luxury retreat atmosphere, this unique property continues to be an impressive destination and project site. We are proud to support projects that require precision, expertise, and quality field testing every step of the way.

Luke Parks was out at Beatty’s Ford Park in Denver, NC performing bolt inspections on the fishing pier — and this job required a boat ride to get it done right! From the water to the structure itself, our team works hard to help keep public spaces safe, secure, and ready for the community to enjoy. Another day of hands-on field work for the CESI team! 🎣🚤🔩
