All C4 Machining classes went on a short field trip today. We want to thank David Boyer and his team for giving us a tour around Boyer Machine and Tool. It is a great experience for students to see potential career options in action! Ran into several C4 alumni as well!

Congrats to my students today at the annual high school machining contest! Isaac, Eayon, and Dustin all competed against other machining students in the state. Eayon took 3rd place in the CNC division and Dustin took 3rd place in the manual division.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Eayon Madden, a junior in our C4 Precision Machining program, has taken 1st Place in his national scoring hub for the Project MFG National Machining League!

To get here, Eayon had to produce five complex CNC-machined parts right here in the C4 lab. His precision and skill were so high that he was selected as one of only 15 students in the entire country to advance to the National Competition.

Next stop? Southern Illinois this March, where he’ll compete against the top talent in the United States.
