What a great few days in Denver celebrating the 50th anniversary of the American Galvanizers Association TechForum! From industry education and innovation to networking and collaboration, this milestone event brought together professionals who share a passion for advancing the galvanizing industry.

V&S Galvanizing was proud to contribute to this yearā€™s program!

Another great day of campus outreach! šŸŽ“

Today, we had the opportunity to host an American Galvanizers Association Lunch & Learn with engineering students at the University of Cincinnati, introducing them to the benefits and applications of hot-dip galvanizing.

Following the seminar, Professor Cross gave students a closer look at galvanized steel plates prepared by V&S Amboy for an ongoing study evaluating the slip coefficient of friction of galvanized surfaces.

It was a great way to connect classroom learning with real-world materials, research, and engineering applications.

Thank you to the University of Cincinnati and Professor Cross for the opportunity to engage with the next generation of engineers!

Centennial Park is helping shape the next chapter of Detroitā€™s revitalized riverfront- transforming a former industrial site into a vibrant public space for the community.

Nearly 25 tons of exposed structural and miscellaneous steel, including the parkā€™s signature pavilion and handrail systems, were hot-dip galvanized for lasting protection against moisture, salt, and Michiganā€™s freeze-thaw cycles.

By extending the steelā€™s service life and reducing future maintenance, galvanizing also supports the projectā€™s sustainability goals. The result is a modern waterfront destination where durability, function, and thoughtful design come together.
