Typical Job Duties include:
• Installation of conduit and electrical components
• Pulling Wire
• Demolition and make safe procedures
• Testing, calibration and trouble-shooting
• Reading blueprints, diagrams and schematics
Requirements:
1. Have completed the IEC’s 4-year apprenticeship program.
2. Successful passing of criminal background check and drug screening.
3. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and motor vehicle record in good standing
4. Learn and understand proper use of tools, equipment, materials and electrical code.
5. Able to follow directions from the Foreman/Journeymen and work productively either independently or as a team.
6. Good math skills and ability to problem solve
7. Professionally communicate with fellow employees, customers, and other trades.
8. Comply with OSHA, Company and Job Site safety policies and standards.
9. Available to work Monday - Friday, some overtime, nights, weekends or travel may be required.
10. Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position (see below)
Physical Requirements:
1. Can stand/squat for 8+ hours a day
2. Complete work tasks while climbing ladders, using scaffolding or lifts at heights.
3. Ability to lift and carry 50+ lbs. over a short distance to the work area.
4. Must be able to distinguish colors.
5. No physical restrictions that would limit the ability to safely use a variety of tools including power, hydraulic, torque, hand and different sharp tools.
6. Comfortable working in changing environments and weather conditions, confined spaces, at heights and possible exposure to hazards such as trip/slip, falling objects, electrical shock and arc flashes. Proper protective equipment is provided to prevent hazards.
