With a commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction, we are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Steel Fabrication Project Manager to join our growing team.
Position Summary:
The Steel Fabrication Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, ex*****on, and delivery of steel fabrication projects from contract award through completion. This includes managing budgets, timelines, production schedules, and coordination between internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all aspects of steel fabrication projects, including estimating support, scheduling, procurement, and fabrication oversight.
• Coordinate with engineering, drafting, and production teams to ensure project specifications and timelines are met.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and field personnel.
• Monitor project costs, track change orders, and ensure profitability targets are achieved.
• Review shop drawings and ensure they align with project requirements and standards.
• Oversee QA/QC processes, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and safety standards.
• Resolve any fabrication or construction issues in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide progress reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure all project documentation is complete, organized, and maintained.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural or miscellaneous steel fabrication project management.
• Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, materials, shop drawings, and construction practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management software and CAD a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of AISC standards, welding codes, and OSHA safety regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
