RM Speech is committed to providing cutting edge dedicated speech generating devices! Everyone's voice should be heard!

All of our dedicated speech generating devices are intended for use by people who suffer from communication impairments that cannot be overcome by natural communication methods and can only be met by a dedicated Speech Generating Device. All of our devices utilize synthesized speech and all for the use of multiple methods of message formulation and multiple methods of device access. Our devices are built utilizing the latest technology with the most advanced AAC software. Feel free to contact us for more information on any of our devices. All of our devices come with a detachable, wireless and wearable speaker that provides a huge source of voice amplification! These speakers can be worn around the neck via our custom neck strap that is specifically designed for this purpose! When worn in this manner, the amplified voice appears to come from the actual user! Since the device is wireless, it can also be placed anywhere within range or attached to a multiple of other items such as the included carrying case, another article of clothing, a backpack or any mount. This allows for great versatility when using the device! All devices come with a padded carrying case (with shoulder strap), AC power adapter (charges device and speaker), vehicle power adapter (charges device and speaker), custom neck strap, and a detachable, wireless and wearable amplified speaker.

👻 Let’s wrap up AAC Awareness Month with a little Halloween fun!

From trick-or-treating and fall festivities to everyday moments that bring us together, AAC helps people connect, participate, and express themselves in so many ways.

Share your AAC moments with us! Submit a story, photo, or video showing how you or someone you support uses AAC to connect with others, join in everyday activities, or share their voice. Halloween and fall photos are especially welcome!

Entries do NOT have to include identifiable features or faces. We welcome content such as:
-Showing how you are using or demonstrating an AAC device
-An AAC device set up for an activity, therapy session, classroom, outing or other everyday situation.
-Close-ups of the device being used while the patient remains completely out of view.
-Creative photos of AAC devices in real-life environments- even when a patient is not present.
-Bonus points for use of an RM Speech device or software!

Thinking about an AAC device before the end of the year?

As 2026 comes to a close, now may be a good time to revisit AAC needs for patients with private insurance. Families who have already met their out-of-pocket maximum—especially those receiving multiple therapies—may be able to pursue an AAC device with less out-of-pocket cost.

Planning for a year-end delivery?
AAC funding typically takes about 6 weeks, so we recommend submitting paperwork by November 15 for devices needed before the end of the year.

If you have a patient who may benefit from an AAC device, now is a great time to start the conversation and get the process moving.

After hearing feedback from our clients and SLPs, RM Speech designed and began manufacturing our new hinge keyguards in-house for the Nuvo with Lite Case.

The new hinge design gives you more flexibility when a keyguard is helpful—but you still need easy access to the screen.
✨ Swipe when you need to.
✨ Remove the keyguard when a communication partner needs to navigate the device.
✨ Keep it out of the way when a keyguard isn’t needed.

It’s a small design change with a big goal: making AAC work better for the people who use it every day.

Better skills. Stronger partnerships. Better support for AAC users.

A huge thank you to our DME partners who joined us at RM Speech for two days of advanced, hands-on AAC training!

Our reps from CareMed, AMP, and ProTech Medical, serving individuals across MS, AL, TN, KY, and WV, rolled up their sleeves and dove into the complexities of supporting individuals with more advanced AAC needs.

Over two days, we worked hands-on with:

🔹 Eye gaze
🔹 Device and access customization
🔹 Complex patient scenarios and problem-solving
