C&A says farewell to summer with...
A vintage-style pocket watch, new gears in a classically engraved shell.
And a plaque for two true lovers who began a waltz and stopped the engraver mid-step.
Summer may be transient, but metal incised with diamonds, and fire scored into alder, can stop time.

Fun Fact Friday:

In ancient Greece, trophies were built right on the battlefield after a victory. Soldiers would plant a wooden post in the ground and dress it with the defeated enemy’s armor, shields, and weapons creating a lifelike warrior figure to mark the turning point of the battle.

These early trophies weren’t just for show they were offerings to the gods and symbols of triumph and gratitude. Later, the Greeks began recreating them in stone or bronze to honor great victories for generations to come.

So before there were gold cups and medals, there stood tall wooden warriors the original trophies of victory.

Fun Fact Friday:

If you think about it, engraving is basically just scratching stuff to make cool designs. Technically, the word means "to remove material," so humans were engraving long before we figured out how to work with metal. Early people carved into whatever they had: ostrich eggs, mammoth tusks, soapstone, even turtle eggs.
