Like any shop, we get asked to work on some out of the ordinary things. Its no secret that we also like antique machinery, engines, tractors and such. I started doing this out of necessity, to fix MotoMeters that I've bought and to my surprise, Ive had others ask me to fix theirs.
What happens is, people tend to lay these down flat and over time the alcohol will creep to the top.
We use centrifugal force to get it back where it goes. Some are super easy, some have taken over an hour.

If the thermometer glass is broken, I cannot fix that. I also have seen where the one place that offered the thermometers have stopped shipping to the US, so your parts have to be serviceable for us to repair.
