Like any shop, we get asked to work on some out of the ordinary things. Its no secret that we also like antique machinery, engines, tractors and such. I started doing this out of necessity, to fix MotoMeters that I've bought and to my surprise, Ive had others ask me to fix theirs.
What happens is, people tend to lay these down flat and over time the alcohol will creep to the top.
We use centrifugal force to get it back where it goes. Some are super easy, some have taken over an hour.
At any rate, if you'd like to send yours in, message me for the address.
If the thermometer glass is broken, I cannot fix that. I also have seen where the one place that offered the thermometers have stopped shipping to the US, so your parts have to be serviceable for us to repair.

This is why I really like having a good, reliable 3D printer. With that, I can print out a piece over night to prove out a new part or setup for extremely cheap (in this case $3.53). Saves alot of money in costly material if there's an oops.

Heres a project we did for the City of Macomb. The broken pulley was part of a casket lift for the mausoleum. We cut 3 rings on the plasma, turned some stock for the hub and Tig'd it all together.

Here's a small repair project we've worked on. It was on a piece of tillage equipment and the spindle had to be removed from the shank (a big spring) so it could be turned in the lathe. We cut the old threads off, welded it up and cut new 1"-14 threads.

Just a note, as busy as we've been this year, we've decided not to do any custom signs for either the Annual Hometown Holiday Gift and Craft Show in Rushville or for Christmas.
We will still have signs, but they'll be our standard designs. We simply don't have the time to sit and alter designs.
We will have 2 booths this year in Rushville, stop by and check it out. First Saturday in November.
