I call this incorporate bail out.
24 inch copper was ordered loaded on my truck went on site ran 1500 LBS and then the spec was presented to me . The panels were 5 inches too wide. The roofer who shall remain anonymous asked weather I thought it would be ok I said it is a little late for that question now so we ran the rest of the copper and hoped for the best. The builder said no good so these pics are how I bail out a customer.
