Our resident lawn expert, Jessica is out on medical leave, so the boss has stepped in… what could possibly go wrong? 😅

But in all seriousness — here’s some solid, simple advice straight from the top:
✔️ Don’t rush the first mow — let that grass get a little height
✔️ Early spring is perfect for feeding your lawn (fertilizer = breakfast for your grass!) and our Jonathon Green products are the best for getting an early start on your lawn!
✔️ Keep those blades sharp — your mower matters more than you think and yes, Mr. O can sharpen a mower blade better then anyone in town.
✔️ And remember… now is the perfect time for grass seed application with the rainy season.

We’ve had a lot of people popping in the last two weeks asking about our “closing sale.”

Let’s clear that up… we are NOT closing just yet! 😊 We’re still here, still working, and still happy to see all your faces every day.

BUT… since everyone seems to love a good deal, we did open up a Closeout Corner right at the front of the store. It’s full of those old, dusty, “how long has that been here?” kind of items that we figured deserved a second chance at life.

So if you like a good bargain, come dig through the pile. Who knows… you might find exactly what you didn’t know you needed.

Just think of it as spring cleaning… hardware store style!

Last week we shared big (and a little emotional) news that Clinton Hardware is officially up for sale. We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for the messages, support, and stories you shared with us — it truly means the world to David and the entire staff.
But we do want to clear up one important thing… we’re not going anywhere just yet!

It’s business as usual around here while we search for the right buyer to carry the torch. The doors are open, the shelves are stocked (well… mostly 😅), and our amazing crew is still here ready to help with all your projects, problems, and “I’m not sure what this part is called” moments. And as promised, David will keep the community posted step by step as we go though this next chapter of Clinton Hardware.

So keep stopping by, keep saying hello, and keep putting us to work — we wouldn’t have it any other way and until a buyer comes along, we’ll keep doing what we’ve always done — taking care of our amazing customers and community ❤️ ❤️❤️

Saturday the “For Sale” sign went up. And to be honest, it hit our staff harder than we expected. 💔

This place isn’t just a building with shelves and registers, our team has poured their hearts into these floors, these counters, and this community. Watching that sign go up felt a little like watching a chapter close — and it’s okay to say we’re sad about it.

But more than anything, we’re grateful. Grateful for every customer who walked through the doors. Grateful for every laugh, every busy Saturday, every time you chose to shop local.

We’re still here. Still open. Still ready to help you till the next chapter starts. As for now, its business as usual and we promise to keep things as normal as possible, as we start the downsizing part of this journey.

Just bare with us if we shed a tear or two, when we wait on you..🥲

Well friends… this one isn’t easy to post.

After a lot of thought, a few deep breaths, and maybe a little staring at the floor in the hardware store… we’ve made a big decision.

It’s bittersweet. It’s emotional. It’s one of those “we know it’s right, but it still tugs at the heart” moments.

We are so incredibly grateful for this community — for every purchase, every laugh at the counter, every storm rush, and every “y’all got any ice melt left?” panic run. You’ve made this more than a business… you’ve made it family.

Change isn’t always easy, but we’re trusting that the next chapter will be just as meaningful. ❤️

It’s the same stuff wearing different outfits… and we are officially OUT of all of them for the season. ❄️

If it melts ice, we had it.
If it sounded like it melts ice, we had it.
If you called it “that crunchy sidewalk stuff,” we had that too.

Now? Just empty pallets and tired employees making eye contact with the weather app.

Spring, we’re ready when you are.
