Check out the new Food Waste Scale from the US Composting Council.

The US EPA’s new Food Waste Scale is a long-awaited recognition of the importance of composting inedible food scrap and will bring much needed clarity to this issue. The USCC has been urging EPA to make this change for the past decade. The new (Food Waste Scale) revisits the food waste hierarchy and changes the framework to prioritize actions that prevent and divert wasted food from disposal. Tiers of the scale highlight different pathways for preventing or managing wasted food in order from most preferred to least preferred. The USCC believes composting is the superior and most economical option for inedible food scraps.

Happy Father's Day! Happy Father's Day to all the amazing dads out there, including pet dads, bonus dads, grandpas, father figures, uncles, brothers and more! As a mulch and soil company, we know a thing or two about growing and giving. But today, we want to take a moment to thank all of YOU for everything you grow and give as fathers.

To the dads who tirelessly tend to their gardens and lawns, we appreciate your dedication to nurturing life. To the pet dads who lovingly care for their furry companions, thank you for showing us the importance of unconditional love. To the bonus dads who step up and become father figures in children's lives, you are true superheroes.

And let's not forget about grandpas – your wisdom and guidance have shaped generations. We are grateful for all that you do.
