The Buckeye Tour

The Buckeye Tour The Buckeye Tour is a developmental professional golf tour in Northern Ohio, established in 2017, running 12 events May-September.

The Buckeye Tour was established in 2016 as a platform for aspiring professional golfers. Starting with the 2017 season, we will run twelve 36-hole events on championship golf courses in Northern Ohio. The goals of the Buckeye Tour are simple –

Provide a place for new and aspiring professional golfers to compete in tournaments to hone and develop their skills. Create events that maximize the valu

e of a player’s entry fee, as well as the quality of the venues. Deliver benefits to members of the tour, including discounts on essential golf equipment, and access to practice facilities away from the events themselves. Most of all, help professional golfers prepare and plan their careers by giving them a championship experience. Each of the Buckeye Tour’s 12 events in 2017 is played on a Wednesday and Thursday, with a Tuesday practice round day, allowing players to participate in PGA Tour Monday qualifiers, and still play in events. Our entry fees are created to maximize the effective purse – an 82% minimum payback from member entry fees – while still guaranteeing top-class golf courses, and being affordable. We aim to be as transparent as possible about where our players’ money is going, and how it is paid out in purses.
