Thanks to Kelly Falcone-Hill, Angie Lowrie and Chad Malkamaki for hosting a wonderful event last evening at the Cleveland History Center. It was great to share “Bob Stories” stories about our company and a few interesting projects. It was particularly fun to relate the back stories of the design and construction of two very special sets of Deco Andirons created for a local collector. For those who missed it, I have created note cards with images of each. These are available at the Western Reserve Historical Society gift shop and will be added to the store on our web site soon. BTW .. we’ve been revamping our site. Please bear with us (and let us know) if you find minor glitches.

History...
The Ohio Governor's Residence in Bexley Ohio, holds a rich history dating back to 1928. In 2013, when the staff needed a new chandelier for the living room, they turned to Rose Iron Works.

Instead of replicating the original fixture, our team drew inspiration from the rooms unique details to design a stunning piece in the Jacobethan Revival style. The result is a true blend of tradition and creativity.

History
As we think back on at the journey of the Euclid Beach Carousel project we're reminded of an earlier chapter from 2014.
We were approached by the Humphrey family, friends and descendants of the original founders of Euclid Beach, to create a top for the carrousel which was being renovated. We were given only a few weeks to design and make a replica of the one which adorned the top of the original building. This early project set the tone for everything that followed.

Before we dive into what's ahead, we wanted to share a glimpse of where we've been recently. The Euclid Beach carousel project was a labor of love. It was our pleasure to donate our time and design experience, in honor of our family - using salvage materials from the original Euclid Beach carousel to creat a one-of-a-kind Q-Line railing. Designed for both beauty and function, this piece allows people to line up, lean in, and connect with the carousel's rich history-just as generations before us did.

Saved pieces of the original Euclid Beach Carousel were reworked into a Que Line Rail and Display Barrier Stanchions for the Western Reserve Historical Society. These, along with a whimsical “Are you Tall Enough?” child height measurement gauge were donated by Bob and Carolyn Rose, with special tribute to the monumental effort spearheaded by John Frato (deceased 9/3/2024) to restore the carousel, showcase its history and provide enjoyment for all visitors.
