Spiral Bevel Gears are also gears, which the gear teeth are in a cone. Instead of straight gear teeth (like a straight bevel gear) the teeth are curved in a spiral (as in a tapered helical gear), tapering from bigger teeth (at the bottom) to smaller teeth (at the top).

Unlike a standard spur gear, a bevel gear is formed into a cone — with teeth that taper from large at the bottom to small at the top. They’re designed to run on intersecting shafts, most commonly at 90 degrees, but we can engineer them for virtually any shaft angle you need.
