This Mental Health Awareness month, our team had the opportunity to write "You Matter" notes to one another, and we had helpful mental health tips posted throughout the facility. It was a simple but meaningful reminder that taking care of each other is just as important as the work we do every day.

Meet Michael Herper, our Senior Lead of Sheet Metal and a 19 year veteran of the Hydro-Dyne family!

In his role, Michael oversees the machine shop, material prep, laser, and brake operations. When asked what keeps him excited after all these years, his answer was simple — the variety. There is always something new and different to work on, and that keeps the work feeling anything but routine.

And when the week is done? A good movie and a good drink. We think that sounds just about right.

Thank you for 19 years, Michael. We are lucky to have you!

Wait...pickling? At a wastewater equipment company? 🥒

We are not making pickles, but we are doing something pretty incredible.

Pickling is an acid treatment process that removes iron from the welded surface area of the steel and helps deposit a protective oxide layer over the surface of the stainless steel material. The result is equipment that is more corrosion resistant and built to last in the harsh environment of a wastewater headworks structure.

Safety in handling acid solution is a key factor in the picking process. Our team follows strict safety protocols every step of the way.

It is one of those behind the scenes details that makes all the difference.

Here at Hydro-Dyne, our entire product line is named after sharks. From the Great White to the Bull Shark, and the Tiger Shark to the Hammerhead, these incredible animals are woven into everything we do, and that is no accident. They inspire the way we operate, pushing us to perform at the apex of our industry in quality, performance, and reliability.

Clean water supports healthy ecosystems, and healthy ecosystems give species like the great hammerhead a fighting chance.

We’ve added another gator to the trophy case! 🐊🏆

Hydro-Dyne has been named to the 2026 University of Florida Gator100. The Gator100 honors the fastest-growing businesses in the world owned or led by University of Florida alumni. Our President, Jay Conroy, is a proud graduate of the University of Florida College of Engineering.
