Well it's time again for an update on my life and the start of 2025.
January 6th I met with my Orthopedic doctor who scheduled me with the pain doctor for the 29th of this month. I have been going through pain in my lower back due to stenosis and my fractured back. My chemo treatment was January 10th and I felt the best after this treatment I have since they started. January 17th I woke to the smell of electric and burning plastic. Searching the house I found the circuit board and wiring burning in my 5 year old furnace. Called the guy who put it in and he referred me to guy who never showed up through the 20th when I called another company who showed up within an hour. They recommended a new furnace and gave me an estimate I could not afford. Called another handyman I have had help me out before and got a much more affordable price and a new furnace installed on the 23rd. Warm again I can write this. Last September I bought another handicap scooter at an online auction in Pa. They also had a couple of kerosene heaters I bought because they were so cheap I thought I would resell them on Facebook marketplace. I never did list them and they kept me warm for the coldest week of this winter while my furnace was down. This to me was another example of how God watches over me. No reason to buy the heaters when I did but prepared for the problem when it came. If you are looking for the good, that's what you will find. If you are looking at the negative that is all you will see. Keep looking for the good and praying !

Health update September 2024. Had my chemo treatment Friday the 20th and met with the Nurse Practitioner the 19th. My blood work again showed good numbers which they follow to track my multiple myeloma. My chemo is now scheduled for every 4 weeks after starting weekly to start then to every two weeks so now to every four weeks is great. My next chemo is October 18th again seeing the Dr. on the 17th when they are considering making an adjustment in my medications to lessen them do to my progress. The side effects I experience seem to be mainly tired out with lack of energy or ambition. An example might be changing the oil in my truck yesterday has left me exhausted and wiped out today. Tomorrow I get a shot for my neck pain causing my left arm to be numb caused by my arthritis. Everything seems to be going pretty well and I have plans to attend the Hershey Car show again this year with my new handicap scooter I bought a few weeks ago at another online auction and sold my old one to my friend Jay who has the same Cancer diagnosis as myself. These scooters are the only way to attend these huge events when you just can't walk them as we did for so many years. Thank You all for the prayers and friendships through all this.

Guess it is time for a new health update. The last couple of weeks included multiple doctor appointments. I had an MRI on July 15th for neck pain causing my left arm to be numb. Attended the Syracuse Nationals Friday & Saturday the 19th & 20th. Orthopedic doctor for regular follow up appointment from April on Monday the 22nd. and the 23rd Dr. Pudusseri my Hematology Oncology Dr. for the MRI results and blood labs for my primary care physician. MI showed neck issue shows nothing different from my January MRI. Orthopedic doctor said I have arthritis in my neck and has set me up with an appointment with pain doctor for some shots to help. Infusion treatment on Friday the 26th and started back on Revlimid pills 21 days a month off for 7 days then 21 days again. These Pills are $15,000.00 a month - thank God for grants. Then another follow up appt. with Gastroenterologist Dr. on Monday the 29th followed by Primary care physician appt. Tuesday the 30th. My next Infusion appointment is Friday the 9th. Hematology/ Oncology tells me my numbers are good as they track my light chains as they monitor through blood work each visit. I continue to wear the back brace as it helps with the back pain and reminds me not to lift anything heavy. The Orthopedic doctor did say my spine does align again where it is fractured so hopefully it continues to heal. Hard to understand at my age how much the chemo therapy keeps me tired out to how much is just old age. Summer has gone by really fast and lots of projects to work on from house repairs to cars to finish. Now to just find the ambition. Hope this finds everyone else well and happy. God Bless you all !

Well what a difference a year makes ! A year ago today I was at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee and attending the Pontiac Oakland Club Convention. Thank God for the wonderful memories. Today I met with my nurse practitioner and have anther MRI scheduled due to numbness down my left arm from what feels like a pinched nerve in my neck. Tomorrow is another scheduled chemo treatment. Insurance company has approved new MRI so now just waiting to get it scheduled.
More updates when I know something you should know -meantime Enjoy today and maybe create some memories to look back on a year from now. God Bless.

Six months ago (Dec.6th, 2023) I took the battery out of my 1950 Pontiac Streamliner Deluxe Station Wagon. At that point something went out in my lower back that hurt bad enough to get me to my orthopedic doctor. An MRI was ordered December 22nd. and January was filled with further tests and Multiple Myeloma was diagnosed.
Hard to believe how much your life can change in such a short time. My treatments have been going well with minor side effects at best to cope with. My numbers show good progress and I am at the stage where I go every other week for treatment. Chemo is very tiring and takes the majority of your energy.
I would highly recommend Hematology-Oncology Associates of CNY to anyone needing to deal with Cancer of any type. In my entire life I have never dealt with a better run facility filled with a caring staff at every level.
Other lessons I have learned going through this phase of my life are as follows: Forgiveness for myself in what I can get accomplished, and I can ask for help (not that I always will). I had no idea so many friends really cared till I started these posts.
I am doing fine in an off week with my next Chemo treatment June 14th.
We get old to soon, and We learn to late.
Enjoy the day for tomorrow is never promised.
God Bless 🙏👍

I guess it is time for another health update as I have received phone calls from about 4 to 5 people worried. Everything is fine and going as scheduled or planned for my treatment. I met with a Nurse practitioner May 2nd and got another infusion treatment May 3rd. This starts by 2nd stage of the treatments where now I go every 2 weeks instead of weekly. My next treatments will be May17th, & 31st.. The only other real change was my Steroid I take with the treatment has the dose cut in half due to how it effects my blood sugar level. The only side effect I seem to have is being tired and no energy. I am trying to do more and get back to so many projects. I really hope to have my 1941 Pontiac Business Coupe out for the season sometime but have quite a bit of work to get it there. I also got my 1st large bill from Hematology Oncology so need to set up a payment plan. Unable to work the part time job It has really put a dent in my income with just Social Security coming in each month. I have gotten out to breakfast once and a dinner with my friend Jay who I've known for around 60 years and has the same cancer diagnosed a few weeks ahead of mine. We compare notes on our treatment and progress. We will never be cured but at least can live a pretty normal life. Who knew so many cared ? It has been eye opening to know and really helps you get a focus on what is important in life. I've got lots of car parts to sell off and listing more on my website all the time. Hopefully enough cars and parts to sell off to pay the extra bills. I will say my health insurance has done very well by me and I wonder how they can stay in business when you see what stuff like this costs. Anyway till the next post, Thank You for praying and caring. God Bless

The latest update on my Multiple Myeloma. I saw my Hematology-Oncology doctor Thursday for an update on how my treatments are going. She said I am doing really well as all my numbers have all improved to show everything is working just as the therapy is supposed to. I have one more week of an infusion then it goes to ever other week for eight weeks followed by monthly after that. I've had no side effects the last two weeks except total exhaustion after I get home. After a nap till about 7 PM then I can't get to sleep the rest of the night due to the steroid I take with the treatment. Another issue with the treatment or cancer in general it seems to drains all our energy and it seems after about 2 hours of doing anything you get tired out. I appreciate all who are following my progress and tell you your support has been a true blessing. Thank you for all the thoughts and prayers. God Bless till next week. 👍🙏🤗❤
