Just found an interesting tidbit for a Monday morning... While researching older aerial photos for a project, I came across this 1975 aerial of the swing bridge over the Cumberland River in Clarksville. The bridge is in the open position with a barge about to pass. Perfect timing for the aerial photo!

By the way, a quick google search indicates the bridge dates back to 1859! Those folks who take those trains across the river on that bridge today might tell you they don't build them like the used to!

ESE is actively seeking resumes/applications for hard-working, dependable, and motivated individuals for our drilling and subsurface explorations department. We are looking for an experienced driller in addition to drill assistants. In experienced candidates are encouraged to apply for drill assistant - will train on the job.

Duties will include auger and mud rotary drilling, SPT sampling, Shelby tube sampling, rock coring, and direct push sampling along with bore hole logging and staking, equipment maintenance, customer interactions, and SAFETY.

CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE. A CDL is not required.

Starting pay is $14.00 with daily drill bonus for inexperienced worker. Higher depending upon experience, education, and/or other qualifications.

All who meet the following requirements are encouraged to apply; those with demonstrated experience as listed below will be given preference.
