We are neighbors serving neighbors. This location has a long history - first opening as a Damman Hardware back in the early 90's, then becoming Ace some 10 years later. Starting in 2014 through a series of unfortunate circumstances, the prior owners were no longer able to maintain the business and finally locked the doors in the spring of 2016. We are local residents with Hardware Experience and j

umped at the chance to re-open the store and serve our community! After several months of extensive renovation and updating, we re-opened the store as "Ace Hardware of Clarkston" in October of 2016. Local residents now have the option to buy local and stay local. Our Family looks forward to serving the community for many years to come!

We wanted to share something exciting with our Clarkston neighbors!

Last night, we spent time with Paul and Cheryl — the founders of Walnut Lake Ace — and the team as the store moves into its next chapter with us in West Bloomfield, a chance to reflect on what’s been built and to look ahead together.

Walnut Lake Ace is a store shaped by years of care and carried every day by a dedicated team. Healthy things grow — and this store has deep roots.

As this next chapter begins, we’re grateful for the trust placed in us and look forward to embracing what’s been built here while adding our own familiar touch, guided by the same values that shape our Clarkston and Commerce stores.

We’re thankful for the years Paul and Cheryl poured into this place and wish them nothing but good things in the days ahead.
