Fulcrum Lifting is conquering the CancerFree KIDS 100 Mile Challenge this month because less than 8% of federally funded cancer research goes to childhood cancer. This means that kids are treated with therapies that are outdated or drugs that were originally designed for adults, often making them harmful to kids’ bodies, causing significant health issues or cancer relapse. CancerFree KIDS funds childhood cancer research to bridge this gap in funding. They fund the early-stage, innovative ideas that hold the promise to transform the way we treat pediatric cancer.
