At Findlay Kitchen, our mission is to support food entrepreneurs by providing the space and resources they need to scale. One of the ways we do this is through our Production Pods - dedicated production spaces that allow members to set their own schedule at the Kitchen with a space that’s entirely theirs. Each pod is custom-outfitted with equipment tailored to our members’ business needs, offering the flexibility and autonomy they need to thrive.
Rhonda Marcotte, the owner of Flourish Culinary Services and current occupant of one of our production pods, talks about her experience so far after three years of working in the shared kitchen environment.
Rhonda officially transitioned into her new production pod this April. "Having a space that is yours is hugely beneficial mentally and also from a business standpoint," she shares. "It allows you to focus your concentration on the business and less on what's going on around you."
For Rhonda, the new setup has completely changed the atmosphere of her workday. "Being able to open my door and come in here... it feels like a second home. I love it!"
Beyond the mental clarity, the physical layout of the production pods also offers the efficiency needed to scale a business. "What's great is that all of our pods are outfitted differently based on what we need," Rhonda explains. "There's not a piece of equipment that's in here that I don't need."
For long-term members of the Findlay Kitchen community, moving into a production pod represents a major milestone in their business lifecycle. "I still kind of have to pinch myself when I come and open the door," Rhonda admits. "I had been here for three years fantasizing about being in a space like this, and to be here is just... I'm so happy."
Congratulations, Rhonda! We can’t wait to see how your business continues to evolve with your new space 🫶
