Brothers & Sisters,
As you know this is an unprecedented time in history. We can use this time to come together and realize that not only is our vocation " essential " but so is the person you work with, the employer you work for and the members on the out of work list. We are all essential and connected to one another.

What does Governor Mike DeWine's order to close all but essential businesses mean to the construction industry?
While the governor's order exempts construction, calling it essential activity, each individual jobsite will need to evaluate whether it can continue its operations in a safe manner to ensure the employees' safety.
We are asking anyone who will be working during this crisis to adhere to the governor’s guidelines on social distancing, access to hand washing/sanitizer and other hygiene orders.
The Ohio State Building and Construction Trades Council will be engaging with the statewide Industry construction groups to reinforce these guidelines.
We ask that anyone who has questions/concerns on issues relating to their respective jobsite reach out to their individual trade union or local building trades to address these as they have the direct contact with the contractors/owners.
