Before firing up your greenhouse heaters after a long idle period, take time to check them. Birds like to nest inside and pull insulation away from the exchanger. Insects like the Mud Dauber cake dirt and debris into the jets and cause misfires. Add spider nests and webs to that. A quick fall check of heaters and thermostats to confirm they are working properly saves you the inconvenience of having late-night issues with a failing heater.
