Industrial facilities handling flammable materials can’t afford lightning-related downtime.
As Sherwin-Williams expanded operations at its Bowling Green, Kentucky manufacturing facility, the company sought a modern approach to protecting newly added flammable storage infrastructure.
Encore Land & Sea installed two CMCE-120 Lightning Suppression Systems to create a dome of lightning-free protection over critical operational areas and storage tanks.
Traditional lightning protection systems are designed to attract and ground lightning after strike formation occurs.
The CMCE approach focuses on lightning strike prevention by reducing the electrical conditions associated with lightning strike formation around protected infrastructure.
For industrial operations, the stakes can include:
• operational disruption
• infrastructure damage
• production downtime
• fire risk
• critical asset exposure
Modern industrial operations require modern lightning protection strategies.
Prevent lightning strike formation. Protect critical operations.
