We love demos! Gives the salesman a chance to keep his mouth shut and let the units do the work. These farmers picked some of their more challenging soils to see what strip till can do for them.

When the terminated cover crop worked better than they thought it would, we moved over to hit some corn on corn fields. And when that worked too well, we set the units directly on top of last year’s rows.

Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do

So I'm going through town today and see this rig parked at the hotel. I say to myself "Is that the setup I just read about yesterday?" The strip till manufacturer recently hauled a bar with a JCB from Iowa to Texas for commodity classic.

So I went down the road a bit to pick up my son from his driver's license test, and figured I'd circle back and get a great photo. Well we ended up behind it on the road just as it left the hotel. So I told the kid to try to grab a photo in the roundabout.

Not sure it was was the same bar at Commodity Classic, but it was neat too see! In fact I think it's maybe a larger unit than was at the show.

We’re always looking for good tractor operators/OTR drivers

We hooked the strip-till machine up to our JCB 8330 FastTrack tractor and headed South. Some quick math showed we could potentially save almost $25,000.
