SCW&M, a small business founded in 2003, is the premier west coast structural steel and aluminum company serving San Diego, CA and Norfolk, VA waterfronts with multiple contract vehicles. We are 900 trained professionals experienced in all aspects of vessel repair, including planning, design, execution and management of any size project. We are capable of executing multiple projects ranging from a

few thousand dollars to as much as $26MM on the USS RUSHMORE. We are over 4+acres of contiguous yard and lay down space with 80,000+ sq. of professional offices. Our Southcoast Welding Institute is a Non-Accredited Post-Secondary Education Institution that strives to achieve growth, excellence, and superiority within the shipyard and construction industries. The goal is to be a proven leader in providing the best training and to be the best welding school in Southern California. Technical courses are specially designed to serve any individual skill level from beginner to advanced welding and mirror applied principles.

USS Princeton (CA)

The USS Princeton was awarded Ship of the Month for accomplishing over 85 linear feet of crack repairs. Work was completed in all four exhaust duct collectors and finished 21 days ahead of schedule. Completing these repairs before the delivery date allowed USS Princeton to be mission ready and support our astonishing US Navy!

USS McFaul (VA)

The USS McFaul was recognized as the ship of the month for the tireless dedication shown by our sheet metal and structural teams, in an effort to support customers with successful and timely completion of the project. Furthermore, the USS McFaul received acknowledgment from the ship's CO and NWIC.
