Big News + A $100 Giveaway! 🏁

Hello everyone, Grant here!

For those of you that haven't already heard the news, I am excited to announce the acquisition of Pettersen Motorsports!
Being born, raised, and now raising a family here in Chico with hobbies and business deep in automotive sports, I understand the importance of having a local business that supports the community. We all need a place that has what we need—or can get it quickly.
When I first saw that Mark was planning on retiring, the first thing that came to my mind was, "Where am I going to get what I need locally?" Frequenting the store for the last 25 years, Mark and I got to know each other well. I consider him a friend, like many of us do, and I didn't want to see what he had worked so hard to build just disappear.
Fast forward a couple of months, and we came to an agreement that worked for both of us. We have been working hard to clean, organize, and redesign the store while still being available and open for those of you needing parts. We are aiming for a soft opening Jan 5. with a grand re-opening sometime in the spring bringing back the annual Gas Alley Get-together car show and BBQ to meet you all.
Now, for the fun part:
Due to circumstances outside of our control, the store name has to change. My team and I have been brainstorming names, but nothing quite sticks. So, we have decided to turn to the public!

Hello everyone, over the last 10+ years we've taken a lot of parts in on a consignment basis. A lot of these parts have been listed and were just never purchased and so they've sat for several years. Some of these I'm sure have been forgotten over time. Given the current situation, if you have parts in the shop on consignment we ask you kindly to bring in documentation of ownership or we can call and get confirmation from Mark and you can take your items back, given the workload we have going forward we simply don't have the resources to list and sell all of it. Anything that isn't claimed will likely be sold at a "best offer" basis and the proceeds will go towards Mark's retirement fund. I'd say we'll keep stuff through the next month before we start selling stuff off at best offer, so please come and claim it with proof of ownership before July 1st.

Good morning everybody! This upcoming Saturday June 21st, the shop will be open and we'll be opening the back shop to try and yard sale some old parts Mark has accumulated over the years. We will also be making some deals on regular items in the showroom. Mark will be there so come on down this Saturday and get some parts for your hot rod!

Hello, due to staffing shortages, the shop will be shortening front shop hours to Wednesday-Friday from 9:30am-6:00pm, we'll be having some events during the upcoming weekends, but for the most part those will be the hours the store will be open to allow more time for back shop projects. Sorry for all the changes, and thank you for your understanding during this time!

Good morning everyone, we currently have one drum of 106 octane unleaded gas left, we don't plan on restocking so be sure to come in and get your high octane gas as soon as possible. Thank you and have a great week!

Just another reminder that we're one week into June. July 1st is the deadline for picking up consignment parts that have been left at the shop or paying your bill. If you have parts at the shop on consignment, we don't have a ton of documentation on what belongs to who so bring paperwork or some documentation of ownership and we can confirm with Mark who owns what as people come in, however any parts not picked up by July 1st will be sold off at reduced or best offer prices in order to get some of the inventory moved and sold. I also recommend anyone who has an outstanding balance on their account to come in and pay your bill as soon as possible, on July 1st we will begin sending out invoices and making calls and anyone who doesn't respond to those will likely be sent to collections sadly. Thank you to those of you who have already come in or called and paid your bill or picked up your parts! Weather is looking wonderful this weekend, a good time to get some parts and go work on that hot rod!

Hello again, I know 3 posts in a day is a lot but I'll be reposting these over the next several weeks. Another order of business is outstanding bills through the shop. On the books we have hundreds of accounts with parts out on credit, I don't want to have to send anyone to collections so I'm asking anyone with a balance at the shop or even if you just want to check if you have a balance please come in during business hours and talk to Matt or Karrie about paying and settling your bill. I'm going to put a similar deadline to the consignment parts of July 1st, so please come in and settle up before then, otherwise I'll be calling accounts with outstanding balances to settle up, if that doesn't work the collections process begins. I understand that Mark had agreements and trade deals with some people so we'll coordinate with Mark and make sure everyone is dealt with fairly. Again I do not want to send anyone to collections so if you have a bill that needs to be paid please do the right thing and come in, we look forward to seeing you all and have a great weekend.

Hello everyone, as some of you know Mark has had some unforeseen health problems and has decided to retire earlier than expected to focus on his health. Going forward I (his son Cameron) will be running this account to try and help coordinate closing operations. We're still interested in selling the shop to someone, so please direct SERIOUS inquiries to this account and I'll try to filter them out and respond as needed. I'll be posting some updates and things we have going on at the shop in the next several weeks. Thank you all for your business over the years and please be sending prayers for Marks quick recovery and happy retirement.
