I had enough BMW Airhead parts lying around the shop to put together another motorcycle!

1971 BMW R60/5 frame with Michigan title, 1975 R90/6 900cc engine, 4-speed transmission, and single front disc brake.

It’s a non-running project, assembled from spare parts, and comes with the extras pictured.

Looking for someone who wants to give it a new life.

1971 BMW R60/5 frame with Michigan title, 1975 R90/6 900cc engine, 4-speed transmission, and single front disc brake.

Stainless steel and titanium hardware. New plated hardware. Original BMW hardware, freshly replated. And drawers full of new BMW parts.

Far from original.
This started life as a BMW R1200C — the same model that made its debut with James Bond in Tomorrow Never Dies.
This one has gone a little further down the rabbit hole.

The MULE is finally getting its rear suspension.

Mocking up the BMW R1100 Paralever rear end and figuring out where everything wants to live.

Still plenty to do — modify the rear brake pedal, modify the main frame and build an entirely new rear frame around it.

But it's starting to look like a motorcycle again.

This is getting exciting!!!

Prototyping parts for the MULE.

A little CAD, a little 3D printing, a lot of test fitting.

Working through the CarPlay/Acewell mounting, new handlebar controls and a few of the small details that will eventually make the whole bike work together.

This is the part of building I really enjoy — design it, print it, bolt it on, figure out what’s wrong and do it again.
