This is Rush Springs Oklahomas own Melvin Heath !!! I’ve been lucky enough to see this car at the NHRA museum in Pomona California. Lil Miss " I Dream of Jeanie “ was the trophy girl when he became the Champion. The Stidham Brothers of Chickasha Ok were commissioned to restore the car that would be presented to Wally Parks, the founder of NHRA on his 90th birthday 🎂
The late Bill Cavell of Chickasha was the crew chief when they won the prestigious event at Great Bend Kansas. This not only makes me more proud to be an Okie but also to be a car guy.
